Located towards the top end of Sutton High Street, The Gym Group Sutton offers 24 hour access to a range of great equipment and facilities. So whether you’ve got to be up for an early shift, or you’ve put staying late at work, you can still get your gym on and fit in a workout.
Fitness Classes
There are several fitness classes throughout the week that gym members can take part in for free as part of their membership. Classes range from Hiit and Body Conditioning to stretching sessions and women only classes. You need to book in advance to avoid disappointment as classes are generally only 16 people. To find the most up-to-date classes, you can visit their website.
Facilities
As with all The Gym Group facilities, there’s plenty on offer. The fitness centre covers two floors with a dedicated cardio area that has loads of treadmills, bikes and cross trainers. There is also loads of weight machines and free weights too. Changing rooms with toilets and showers are available, however, being a low-cost gym, you’ll need to bring your own toiletries and towels.
Membership Options
The Gym is a budget friendly option for those looking for a gym in Sutton. Memberships start from less than £20 per month for a basic membership at off-peak hours only. Upgrade to the Ultimate Membership for just a few quid more and you can enjoy access at any time to any of their hundreds of gyms across the country (great if you work in central London but live in Sutton), as well as buddy passes and body composition tracking.
Personal Training
Personal training sessions are available here. You can’t bring an outside PT into the gym (unless you use a guest pass), however, there are a number of personal trainers affiliated with the gym. When you arrive, check out the Personal Trainer Board to get to know the PTs in more detail before you reach out to them. Many will offer a free introductory session so you can get to know them.
