As a popular place to stay when visiting, and a very up-and-coming area for living, Shoreditch offers the best of city living. There are several great gyms in Shoreditch ranging from the budget friendly options that are open 24 hours near Old Street, to the luxury hotel fitness centres and spas that can cost a pretty penny near Shoreditch High Street station.
Whatever your budget might be, there’s a gym here for you.
Although the area of Shoreditch stretches from Old Street and City Road, out to the infamous Brick Lane, most people assume it’s more around Shoreditch High Street and out to the east. It’s a very trendy area to work and live, and with it means very trendy places to work out, like Psycle and FRAME. If you’re in need of a fitness class or gym close to Shoreditch High Street Overground, then take a look at places like the PureGym London Shoreditch High Street and Nuffield Health on Bateman’s Row. In fact, Nuffield Health offers a swimming pool, yoga classes, a sauna and steam room, and physiotherapy sessions.
It’s such a shame the very cool London Rooftop Gym on Bethnal Green Road is no longer open (amazing for summer morning or evening workouts).
If it’s personal training in Shoreditch that you’re after, you can either go through a gym or fitness facility like Nuffield Health, or you can find a personal trainer who works in the area and focuses on the type of training you’re after. You’ll find that there are loads of independent PTs who venture into this part of East London, however, outdoor space is quite limited. Allen Gardens and Weavers Fields are your best options outdoors. Some gyms offer dedicated training areas for PTs.
